Manchester City are closing in on the signing of 17-year-old midfielder Claudio Echeverri from River Plate.

Echeverri would likely be loaned back to River Plate until at least the end of the Premier League season. 

Echeverri is also receiving interest from Barcelona.

Luis Suarez has joined Inter Miami on a transfer from Gremio.

Suarez played 53 matches for the club in all competitions last season and scored 26 goals.

Suarez will reunite with Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets. The four players spent six seasons together with Barcelona from 2014 through 2020.

Juventus is in talks with Manchester City on a transfer for Kalvin Phillips.

Phillips would like to leave City after struggling to earn opportunities under Pep Guardiola in the 18 months since his £43 million move from Leeds United.

Newcastle are also interested but have not yet made direct contact with City.

Manchester United will be open to January offers for Casemiro, Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek.

Casemiro and Varane may be of particular interest owing to their experience and highly successful careers but their high salaries and age complicate an exit.

Sancho is available because of a refusal to apologise to Ten Hag for questioning the manager’s explanation for leaving him out of the defeat at Arsenal in early September. 

Bayern Munich have signed Bryan Zaragoza from Granada for an undisclosed fee. Zaragoza will join the club after the current season.

"Bryan Zaragoza is an explosive, very quick and extremely nimble winger, who can play on either side," Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund said in a press release.

"He's unpredictable, can score and is very good one-v-one. He's already made his senior debut for Spain this year and has a lot of potential."
